“You are a highly absurd person.” Imran informed me this morning as I was walking towards him and Wse after entering the university’s campus.

I smiled interrogatively.

“If you could come just a couple of minutes later, and we would have gone, assuming that you are also enjoying the weather.” He explained, and I silently agreed that I had really been absurd there.

I mean who would like to go and attend two boring lectures in a weather such as this morning’s, when clouds were scattered all over the sky, and you could hear that cold winter breeze swooshing past your body, making you think why you didn’t listen to your mother who asked you to put your leather-jacket on. Add to it the fact that we came to know our score in one of the exams we have had last week, and it was sufficient to make us feel more absurd.

Then it rained. The same rain for which people had been praying at the end of every namaz. It wasn’t cats and dogs actually, but it was comfortable. Highly comfortable.

So you can ask me why I am sitting here writing these lines when I should be out enjoying the weather as there are no lectures to attend now. The answer would be that the highly comfortable rain has stopped. Those clouds, which were scattered all over the sky, are still there with the change that they are now highly scattered, letting the sunlight pass through. And, although it is cold, there’s no cold breeze anymore. The weather altogether is pleasant, and I might have gone out for a walk if I could find any way of walking over the water of those ponds made by the rain and supported by Rawalpindi’s roads.

And here’s some news: I noticed a great deal of traffic to this journal of mine (which was, well, quite surprising) and as I was tracking my visitors, I came to know of these Asia Weblog Awards 2003, having a category named “Best Pakistan Blog”. So go there, nominate your favourite blog, or vote for the ones already existing there.

And I would highly appreciate if somebody could tell me that who on earth nominated me?

It was me. I wrote to Phil to add Bangladesh & Pakistan. But he did not add Iran & Iraq category as per my request. The reason I have written in one of my posts.

I sent him a list of my favorite blogs from those four countries. But you only get the chance to nominate one in each category. I could only nominate you.

AWK: College & office routines always do that to us. Or nature. Or may be both. And I guess it’s obvious uptil now that who nominated you? :)

eX: LOL @ fraud. Even if it’s a fraud, it’s fun, man!

Laura: That is so nice of you. :)

Rezwan: So you’re the one who surprised me! Thanks for nominating me :)

Ejaz Asi: Oh yes, that’s the advantage of living in here :)

TJHJ: Romantic mausam! May be the ones who were ‘enjoying’ the weather with you had some different concept of appreciating weather! ;)

Uptown Girl: Thanks for coming, and and thanks for liking the blog :)
