Haha! Yeah, back in grad school, our HOD used to criticize rather harshly on incorrect format of references (or for that matter, anything). Sorting these crazy formats really is a pain, specially if you aren’t using BibTeX (which, incidentally, is a headache in its own way!).

oh i know..i hate the references part too and really who actually goes through them anyway. even the reviewers only check the format of the references

Glad you liked it, Karachiwali. References really are a waste of time, arguably with a very high REF and a very low g. Though it’s a pity that their e’ will also be low enough to be easily negligible.
