To avoid being called a plagiarist, here are the credits. Let me know if I miss anything.
All blog posts are written by me. If this is not the case, I mention it in the beginning of the post. All photographs that appear in the posts are also taken by me. Again, if I have borrowed them from anywhere else, I mention it in the post and link to the source whenever possible.
Comments are, of course, left by the readers. Except the ones that are mine. (Yeah, well, duh!)
And despite what you might think, the name of this blog is not inspired by any TV show. Honestly.
The current theme is designed by me. Please don’t look into its CSS, it’s horrible!
The juicy picture of apples that you see on every page is taken from stock.xchng. Photographer: Esther Groen.
The cute little folder/document icons on the archive page are from pinvoke.
Hosting is provided by Nexus. (I am a poor fellow, you see.)
Blogging platform is WordPress — code is poetry!
There are a few WordPress plugins that I have used for customizing the behaviour of this blog. They are listed below.
| Plugin | Description |
|---|---|
| Akismet | Spam protection! |
| Awsom News Announcement | Allows to post news announcements. |
| Custom Query String Reloaded | Allows to change the number of posts displayed when viewing different archive pages. |
| Drain Hole | A download management and monitoring plugin with statistics and file protection. |
| Latest From Each Category | Displays a list of the latest post in each category. |
| Plugin Output Cache | Provides a caching mechanism for the output from plugins. |
| Search Excerpt | Modifies the_excerpt() template code during search to return snippets containing the search phrase. |
| Similar Posts | Displays a list of related posts. |
| Table of Contents Generator | Scans through HTML headings and creates a “Table of Contents” list for your posts/pages. |
| Text Filter Suite | Adds advanced text filtering functions which can mangle text in amusing ways. |
If you know WordPress and its plugins, you might want to ask if the above table is generated with the help of some plugin. No, it isn’t. I wrote it down manually. (Yes, I am a nutcase like that!)
Also, I edited some of these plugins to suit my needs, particularly the Latest From Each Category, which is used to generate the category listing on almost every page.
I also wrote a plugin to generate the list of archives on the archive page. That plugin heavily borrows from the Latest From Each Category plugin and an old plugin for yearly archives (the link for which is defunct now).
The “toggling effect” on archive page is accomplished by borrowing a script from Css Globe.
There’s nothing to write down in here, at least for now. ![]()

Raahbar,
Thank you. And yes, you can view the CSS of Ulta Seedha. In fact, you can view the CSS of any website that uses it…
If you are using Firefox, then just install the Web Developer Toolbar add-on (it’s brilliant, and I strongly recommend it if you wish to do web design/development), and click “CSS” > “View CSS”. If, however, you don’t use Firefox, then just view the source of the page you are on, find the path to the CSS file, and then copy and enter it into you browser’s address/location bar. Voila!
