This blog is no longer being updated. Last post was “Farewell”.
Dear Blue,
I’m so infuriated right now that I won’t even apologize for not writing to you for a long time. Can you believe what I just read? I surfed into Pakranks for checking my blog’s stats and look what I saw there:
[Pakistan] is the epicenter for terrorism. It really is. This is the only country I know in the world that has so many groups that are against the US or Western ideals.
—Mike Evanoff, US Embassy Islamabad (2003)
Now what the hell does this mean? What is this man, whatever his name is, trying to say? Is that how they define terrorism? Is that what makes anybody a terrorist? Is that that definition of terrorism they are fighting against? Is that what’s terrorism is all about?
Help me, Blue, I am totally confused.
And I have to ask you, Blue, what the hell is that terrorism? Who are terrorists? Those, who have got anything to say against US or Westerm ideals? Does difference of opinion make you a terrorist? Does a different point of view is sufficient enough to certify you as a terrorist? Oh my God. I didn’t know I was a terrorist. I have disagreed with so many people on so many things. And some of those people hold the same view as US or Western ideals. My God, I am a terrorist, Blue. I am a damn terrorist.
And tell me, Blue, what ideals is Mike Evanoff talking about? Doesn’t he know that ideals can change. He has got his own ideals in US. The West has got its own ideals. And Pakistan has got its own ideals. There is no way you can avoid clashes among these ideals, but terrorism? Is Mike Evanoff trying to say that they are terrified by the mere thought of someone disagreeing with their ideals? Is he really trying to say that? If he is, then I don’t know what to call that. I can simply shake my head.
So Blue, I guess, next time when I’ll disagree with some US or Western ideology, I should be ready to be called as the epicenter of terrorism, and I should be ready to get labelled as a terrorist. Also, I should be ready to face a war against me, because I disagreed with a US or Western ideal. Expect me in your nightmares, Mike Evanoff, I have disagreed with you.
You keep watching, Blue. See you later,
Saadat.

Well, Aala Hazrat! I also hate it when people just jump to judgements… and that’s why I wrote all that. I was just heated up by Evanoff’s comments. And about Blue: well, he’s my self-claimed buddy!
Airy, I am right here, just busy with my exams…
Ammara, the link to my poetry is present right there at top-right, alongwith other links…

lol everyone, if you just CLICK on the “blue” link, you would know.
subhan’Allah, sadaat, that was a really thought-provoking post. people who judge out of hand or jump to conclusions in a baseless manner ultimately just show-case their ignorance.

one persons terrorists is anothers freedom fighter. Mr. Sadaat… you are barking on the wrong tree (think that is how the proverb goes) People in US think that their point of view is always right, and chances of you or any one else convincing them are very slim… more like one in a trillion. So the person smashing an airplan is a terrorist, person carpet bombing Afghanistan is not? the footage of US military taking over the Iraqi airport? steal airplane they call you terrorist, steal the whole airport and you are suppoed to be a liberator! and the best part, them US with their soldiers dying in Iraq from domestic threats still don’t get the message that they are not seen in the holy image they project for themselves! from one terrorist to another… if you are not busy tonight, lets earn some dough !

Well, thrlckr! I also don’t expect that my words are going to make a revolutionary change in US’s people’s minds. I just wanted to say that this definition of terrorist, given by Evanoff, is way too stupid.
