Tagged by: Bhaijan

For procrastinating bloggers (like yours truly, for instance), a tag does come up as a blessing. For more explanation, follow the link to Bhaijan’s blog and read the starting lines. They very well describe my own situation too.

Three things that scare me

  1. Bad news
  2. Responsibilities
  3. Myself

Three people who make me laugh

  1. Bros
  2. Friends
  3. Children

Three things I love

  1. Sipping hot cappuccino while watching the sunset on a winter evening
  2. Fantasizing
  3. Watching random people in a public place. (No, I don’t stalk them afterwards.)

Three things I hate

  1. Helplessness
  2. When people assume something on their own that I did not say or imply
  3. Bollywood

Three things I don’t understand

  1. Finance
  2. Politics
  3. Myself

Three things on my desk

I don’t have a “proper” desk. Will my computer table do?

  1. Used Internet prepaid cards
  2. Few coins of Rs. 1, 2, and 5.
  3. Loads and loads of work.

Three things I am doing right now

  1. Eating kaajus
  2. Listening to Akon’s Lonely
  3. Thinking of how I can make answers to this tag more interesting

Three things I want to do before I die

  1. Tour the world
  2. Become a better person
  3. Do something really, really good, and thus contribute, however little, to the society

Three things I can do

  1. Procrastinate. I am a champ.
  2. Twirl a pen in circles repeatedly using my index and middle fingers. Pretty cool, actually!
  3. Run. Fast.

Three things you should listen to

  1. Birds chirping in the morning
  2. Your inner self
  3. Me

Three things I’d like to learn

  1. How to say ‘no’
  2. Talking sensibly
  3. Self control

Three favourite foods

  1. Apples!
  2. French Fries
  3. Russian Salad

Three beverages I drink regularly

  1. Water
  2. Milk
  3. Fruit juices

Three TV shows I watched/books I read as a child

  1. Dhuwan — the amazing PTV serial
  2. Ishtiaq Ahmad novels. Abbu ji publicly blame them for my spectacles.
  3. NTM’s 7 pm cartoons shows (Thundercats… ho!)

Three people I would like to tag

Apologies if you’ve already been tagged…

  1. Saad
  2. Untamed Desires
  3. Xill-e-Ilahi

That was quick chotey bhai. I agree people watching is such a wonderful passtime. I have a draft lying somewhere on people watching at an airport. Perhaps I should go dig it out and take it beyond the first five lines… :)

Dhuwan eh? I will always remember it for “Kise da yar na bichRe..” and the amazing way the song was used.

Btw… you really are too modest. :)

LOL @ xill’s three comments he left here…

Bhaijan: Yep, you sure should go and complete the people watching at airport :)

And kise da yaar na wichrray is surely an identity of Dhuwan. Whenever I mention the serial, somebody else mentions this song. I remember each and every frame of the sequence which led to Daoud’s death and then the song. Simply wow!

And, about modesty. I was just being truthful a little :)

Xill-e-Ilahi: Haha! Great, great, and great!!!

No One: Don’t tell me that you never tried Russian Salad… you are missing a great deal! And by the way, never EVER declare your hatred for apples in front of me! (And yes, you should listen to me!)

Apr 6, 2007 at 11:18 am

No One: The big deal with Russian Salad is that I like it. So is the deal with APPLES! *considers deleting your comment :P *

Everythingiseventual: Wow, thanks a wicked lot! :) Yes, I made it myself (though there’re so many behind-the-scenes things that need to be fixed). And welcome aboard, by the way!

Apr 8, 2007 at 6:14 pm

and it seems that you won’t post again until someone tags you… :)

Apr 11, 2007 at 8:15 pm

Very witty. And how about adding 3 reasons why one should listen to you? :D I can’t twirl a pen in circles repeatedly using my index and middle fingers though… not without my thumb! How do you do it?

Apr 13, 2007 at 11:58 am

Xill-e-Ilahi: Ah, well. You might be right. You see, I wasn’t kidding when I used the word “procrastinator” for myself :)

UD: SubhanAllah! Aur mein apnay blog ko khwah-makhwa ulta seedha kehta hon! :P Just go and answer the tag! Quick! (And get a medical/psychological checkup for that ajeeb si kaifiyat!)

Hina: Haha, I can come up with millions of reasons why one should listen to me. Here’s one: you should listen to me because you should listen to me. And since you should listen to me, you should also listen to me when I say that you should listen to me. (Kinda recursive, huh? :D Maybe now you can figure out how it transforms into millions of reasons. Hint: no stopping criteria for the recursive definition! :D )

And as far as twirling the pen is concerned, I am afraid I can’t explain it more than that. Maybe I could post a video of it on YouTube? :)

Apr 13, 2007 at 9:41 pm

That’s a lot many reasons indeed! lol Brilliant! No stack over-flow either, because a human mind is involved!
A YouTube video is most welcome! Just think … what if it becomes so popular that it becomes a sport? Then we can have championship games held. You’ll be so proud then. :D

Apr 14, 2007 at 12:51 am

for god’s sake dude… get back to your blog!!!

Apr 15, 2007 at 7:55 am

Hina: Wow, a championship! But you know what, that championship might introduce some people who could be better than me in twirling the pen. Not good! :D

Xill-e-Ilahi: Here I am. Back to my blog. Okay, just for replying to comments. But I do hope that an update occurs within the next week. :???:

Apr 15, 2007 at 12:33 pm

I had it in my mind to mention it … I mean, to mention that there might turn up people who’d do better than you in the championship. But I didn’t want to lower your spirits (making you stop twirling pens) or heighten them (making you spend of your day twirling pens in order to be the best) … hehe.

Apr 15, 2007 at 12:37 pm

*half of your day

I seriously hope though that you missed the missing word … I mean, :D , I hope you missed noticing the missing word.

Apr 17, 2007 at 7:16 am

yehhhhhh *doing russian dance plus with some steps of punjabi pangra*
i am not bein taged….yeyyyyy :D
btw kesa hain Saadat bahi…..bohat din se aap ka blog update nahi ho aur na hi ap ko apne blog par dehka hai……

Apr 18, 2007 at 10:29 am

Hina: Er, I did realize that something was weird about that sentence, though I didn’t figure out that that was “half of your day”. And, well, I can’t stop twirling pens now, it has become more of a subconscious thing; and neither can I keep on twirling them, it starts to ache after a while!

Khawab: Aur bhi dukh hein zamanay mein blogging kay siwa! By the way, you can do bhangrra? And what’s a Russian dance?
